YOUTUBER BURNT THIS IN CORNFIELD TO TRIGGER TAX EVASION ARREST?

Welcome to Arrest Stories. YouTube personality Cody Detwiler, known as WhistlinDiesel, was arrested for a second time at a Tennessee airport on January twenty-fifth, twenty twenty-six, facing tax evasion charges related to a Ferrari purchase. Here's what may have happened.

Detwiler was taken into custody at the airport after returning to the United States from an international trip. According to Detwiler, twenty-five plus police officers and agents were involved in the arrest operation. This marked his second arrest following a previous case in November twenty twenty-five.

The charges stem from a three-year investigation involving two vehicles Detwiler registered in Montana while doing business as WhistlinDiesel LLC. The primary focus involves a twenty twenty Ferrari F8 Tributo that Detwiler purchased in twenty twenty-three. The vehicle, which carried Montana plates where there is no sales or excise tax on vehicles, later caught fire and burned to the ground while Detwiler was driving through a corn field in Waco, Texas.

Detwiler stated, "the second car listed in the tax evasion indictment was purchased in another county, they filed another warrant and arrested me again at the airport instead of even allowing me to turn myself in." He was indicted on charges of tax evasion and filing a false sales tax return.

The YouTube creator claims authorities are seeking thirty thousand dollars in taxes. Detwiler maintains his innocence, saying "I have ALWAYS paid ALL of my taxes and I'm still not sure what this is all for, I didn't get a notice of any sort leading up to this." He added, "They did not give me any notice or any opportunity to pay any tax" and explained "This is because they didn't send me a letter saying I owed any tax and instead formed a three year long case for just two cars registered in Montana that were destroyed in other states."

Detwiler was released after fifty minutes in custody and appeared smiling in his mugshot.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
