Welcome to Arrest Stories. Twenty-five-year-old Raja Jackson has been arrested on felony charges after allegedly turning a scripted wrestling interruption into a brutal real-world assault that left professional wrestler Stuart Smith hospitalized with severe facial injuries. Here's what may have happened.
On Thursday, August twenty-third, what was supposed to be entertainment turned into a nightmare at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Sun Valley, California. During the live-streamed show, Jackson entered the ring for what appeared to be a planned interruption. However, witnesses say the situation escalated dramatically when Jackson hoisted wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu, above his head and slammed him to the mat with devastating force.
According to police reports, Smith was rendered unconscious upon impact, but Jackson's assault didn't stop there. He allegedly mounted the defenseless wrestler and unleashed more than twenty punches to his head over ten to eleven seconds before other wrestlers could intervene and pull him away.
The attack's aftermath was severe. Smith arrived at the emergency room "unconscious upon arrival at the ER" and was reportedly "choking on his own blood and teeth." Medical examinations revealed extensive injuries including "trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth."
Investigators discovered that Jackson and Smith had gotten into a disagreement backstage before the event, with reports indicating Smith had struck Jackson with a beer can, believing he was a fellow professional wrestler. What should have remained a backstage dispute exploded into what officials called a "selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith."
Jackson now faces felony charges with bail set at fifty thousand dollars. Smith faces "a long road to recovery ahead" but reportedly "remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through."
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
