Blue had been actively promoting her project on social media, stating "Hey boys, those that are going to Schoolies and to those who are barely legal, cannot wait to meet you and I'm in Bali, so you know exactly what that means." She announced her arrival in Bali online and planned to travel to party hotspots while documenting the activities.
Indonesian officials determined Blue's project violated the country's strict anti-pornography laws, which prohibit producing, distributing, or publicly displaying explicit material. The laws carry heavier penalties for any breaches involving minors.
Fourteen men aged between seventeen and forty were arrested alongside Blue during the raid. The majority of these men have since been released, though one Australian man and two British men remain in custody.
Blue had previously faced legal troubles in Australia, where authorities revoked her visa in November twenty twenty-four. She has described her motivation for the content creation, saying "I was bored of living in the nine to five, so I'm gonna give this a go."
