Welcome to Arrest Stories. Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested in Lakewood, Ohio on weapons charges involving concealed weapons and improper firearm handling in a motor vehicle. Here's what may have happened.

On January seventh, Lakewood police arrested twenty-nine-year-old Marshon Lattimore in the eleven thousand seven hundred block of Clifton Boulevard at approximately six fourteen p.m. The four-time Pro Bowl cornerback was taken into custody on charges of carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Lattimore, who currently plays for the Washington Commanders, was later released pending further investigation. Police records obtained by local media confirmed the arrest occurred on Clifton Boulevard in Lakewood, Ohio.

The NFL player's legal troubles are not new. In March two thousand twenty-one, police arrested Lattimore in Cleveland on similar charges. He later pleaded guilty in November two thousand twenty-one to carrying a concealed weapon and was placed on non-reporting supervision, which ended in May two thousand twenty-two.

Lattimore was originally selected by the New Orleans Saints with the eleventh overall pick in the two thousand seventeen NFL Draft. He spent nearly eight full seasons with the Saints before being traded to the Washington Commanders during the two thousand twenty-four season.

His two thousand twenty-five season ended early after suffering an ACL injury against the Seattle Seahawks on November third. Prior to the injury, Lattimore had accumulated sixteen solo tackles and one interception on the season.

The Washington Commanders organization released a statement saying, "We have been made aware of the arrest and are gathering more information. We are in communication with the NFL League Office and have no further comment at this time."

Lakewood Police confirmed the ongoing investigation, stating "This is an ongoing investigation currently being reviewed by the prosecutor."

Local news outlets reached out to the NFL Players Association for additional comment regarding the arrest.
