Welcome to Arrest Stories. Former NFL linebacker Myles Jack was arrested in Frisco, Texas following a dramatic incident involving gunshots and a fall from a second-story window. Here's what may have happened.
On December sixteenth at five forty in the morning, Frisco police officers responded to a welfare check at a residence in the twenty-four hundred block of Haft River Road. The thirty-year-old former Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers player was the subject of the welfare concern.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers immediately heard gunshots coming from inside the residence. Police quickly established a perimeter around the property and evacuated several neighboring homes as a safety precaution.
During the standoff, officers witnessed a second-story window break. Jack then climbed out of the broken window and fell to the ground below. The dramatic escape attempt ended when Jack was taken into custody at seven twelve in the morning, approximately one hour and thirty-two minutes after police first arrived on scene.
Jack sustained non-life-threatening injuries from his fall and was transported to a Texas hospital for medical treatment. He is now facing felony gun-related charges stemming from the incident.
Following the arrest, Jack's mother released a statement addressing the situation. She said, "On behalf of our family, I want to convey how seriously we take this situation. As a mother, my natural concern has always been the physical and mental well-being of my son. That said, I also want to express the same concern for our Frisco neighbors and want to thank the Frisco Police Department for their careful handling of the situation earlier this week."
She continued, "We understand there are questions, and we believe they deserve to be addressed carefully and with the appropriate time and consideration. We are asking for patience and understanding from the Frisco community as well as the larger sports community as this situation becomes more clear."
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
